Signing in
You can sign in to Cortex two ways:- Email and password. Register with your email, confirm your address from the email we send, and sign in.
- Google. Use your Google account to sign in with one click, no separate password to remember.
Two-factor authentication (MFA)
For extra security, turn on two-factor authentication, so signing in needs a second step beyond your password. Cortex offers two methods:- Authenticator app. Scan a code with an app like Google Authenticator or 1Password, and enter the six-digit code it generates when you sign in. This is the most secure option.
- Email codes. Cortex emails you a code to enter when you sign in.

Open your security settings
Go to your account security settings and choose to set up two-factor authentication.

Choose a method
For an authenticator app, scan the code shown with your app, then enter the code it gives back to confirm. For email codes, enable email as your method.

Keep your recovery codes
When you enable an authenticator app, Cortex gives you recovery codes. Save them somewhere safe. They let you back into your account if you lose your device.
